Hi Everyone!

welcome to glittering yogi. I am a certified 500Hr Yoga + SUP Yoga instructor, teaching classes, workshops and retreats around North Hampshire and Surrey, England. I’ve been practicing for around 20 years on and off and in 2012 discovered Red Hot Yoga studio in Guildford + became enchanted and inspired to commit to a regular practice with Clive, Tamara, Jade and Vivien leading in 2016 to Costa Rica + completing my own teacher training with Marianne Wells Yoga school.

2020 brought about space and changes to delve into a 300 hr programme with Indra Institute and March 7th 2021 I graduated. I am committed to sharing yoga and loved the questions “What keeps you returning to practice”? and ““Why do you continue to teach”?…..towards the end of our training so much, I wanted to share them here

“What keeps you returning to practice”? EXPLORATION

no matter the day, hour, week, my state of mind, where my body is at, yoga enables a sense of wonder and exploration as I navigate each practice as a student and learn, lean in to + notice new things. how my body feels in a particular asana, where my energy levels are, freedom to explore is vital to navigating our bodies, our emotions and ourselves. sitting with whatever arrives or comes up and whatever we may release or learn.

Why do you continue to teach”?….. TO SHARE THE MAGIC

exactly why I continue to practice (+miss it when i don’t) is why I continue teaching. I want to share the magic, the community, the fun, the exploration, the joy and the love of getting to know our bodies, to tuning in and looking inwards - not in a scary way, in an adventurous way. Learning to let ourselves know what we need, how we feel we want to move at any given moment on any given day in any class.

If your greatest achievement is arriving at your yoga mat, that is still yoga and you are still honouring yourself. Yoga is about everything we learn about ourselves, it’s about our lives not just the asana (poses) we move through in class.

I love…sipping coffee as the morning comes to life with the sound of birdsong *
